Broken
Symmetry
the
sounds of broken symmetry shower around me
your bottled words still have the power to confound me
those lazy lies through angel eyes
taught me the meaning of deceit
even so, thought I would never be alone
I
sank so deep in your well
too dim to see clearly I fell
through to oblivion
your
guillotine did sever me, but not completely
the jagged lines of memory still held so sweetly
as I stagger on before the dawn
with thoughts of how you done me wrong
now I swear that I will always be alone
a
rip at your seams sped my fall
hearing my screams, answered the call
silent oblivion
cut
out the harp from my heart
it never played in tune
lie with the flutes restless in June
now rusted through
mute the sounds
of broken symmetry
hear the ring of my strings,
quiver space once numb
your blackened trumpets struck dumb
by my voice undone
the
sounds of broken symmetry. .
